Well, the moon is full and the cheeeeldren of the night are making sweet music to celebrate the end of our Halloween Monster Mash Up, so with that comes our final episode dedicated entirely to werewolvery, lycanthropy, loup-garou hullabaloo, and whatever other name you can think of linked to the almighty Hombre Lobo (our personal favourite!). As always we’ll be discussing the mythology and cinematic history of our chosen monster whilst also focusing on two particular favourites: The Curse of the Werewolf, Hammer’s only ever werewolf film (there’s still time to change that Hammer!) directed by the great Terence Fisher and starring a very young and apparently very sexy (as John will explain) Oliver Reed, and Ivan Cardoso’s joyful Brazilian trashfest A Werewolf in the Amazon, which would give the world Paul Naschy’s final appearance as the hairy, growling wolf man.

Episode 39 contributors: John White (host), and Matt Shingleton
