Hoffman's final film gets US release date

The final film of the late Philip Seymour Hoffman has gotten its US release date.

God's Pocket, Hoffman's last film as lead actor and an official selection at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival, will be released in cinemas on 9th May 2014 and will be available on video on demand on 14th May.

The film tells the story of a man called Mickey (Hoffman), who tries to cover up the accidental death of his stepson Leon. The situation is made worse when Leon's mother shows up, looking for answers.

Mad Men star John Slattery is directing the film, and co-stars Christina Hendricks and Richard Jenkins.
