Former child actress Shirley Temple dies, aged 85

News
Hollywood star Shirley Temple, who was one of the most famous child actors, died Monday evening from natural causes.

Temple, who found fame in films such as Bright Eyes and Stand Up and Cheer, got her first film role in 1931, when she was only three years old and her ability to sing, dance and act made her a very young 'triple-threat'.
She received a special juvenile Academy Award at the age of six, making her the youngest ever recipient of an Oscar.

She retired in 1950 at the age of 21, but returned to the public eye in the 1960's as a politician for the Republican party.
