Bartons Spectacular Spectacular in February

News
In February the Cambridge Film Trust travels to Nottingham to put on a weekend of cinema in the special surroundings of vintage bus garage Bartons.

The Cambridge Film Trust has teamed up with Bartons Garage and Broadway Picturehouse Cinema in Nottingham to put on no less than 10 special screenings at the Bartons historic bus garage in Chilwell, Nottingham over the weekend of February 22nd to the 24th.

The event kicks off with a choice of either Billy Wilder’s classic comedy Some Like It Hot or Steven Spielberg’s Duel with further screenings taking in an array of classic, cult and contemporary cinema. Among the highlights are It’s a Wonderful Life, The Third Man, Moonrise Kingdom and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. Neil Brand will also be on hand to provide live accompaniment to silent comedy from Buster Keaton, Laurel and Hardy, Harold Lloyd and more.

Visitors to the festival will also be allowed to roam the historic Bartons site scattered with vintage cars and buses, around which you can also watch transport footage and other short films and extracts from the MACE (Media Archive and Central England) Archive.
