Cinema News: New Wave Films to Release Pat Collins' Silence

News
New Wave Films have announced that they will be handling the UK distribution of Pat Collins’ SILENCE. The 2012 feature screened to plenty of acclaim in its native Ireland and also played last year’s London Film Festival resulting in a spot on Geoff Andrew’s top five for Sight & Sound’s annual round-up (which you can read here). The film also attracted the attention (and praise) of the Digital Fix’s Anthony Nield, who reviewed the Irish DVD last month.

Silence will be released into UK cinemas later this year by New Wave Films, which will be followed by a home video release. Formats, extras and dates have yet to be confirmed, though we’ll have that news for you as soon as it becomes available. In the meantime you can check out Anthony’s review here.
About Anthony Nield
Anthony hails from Cheltenham and has been writing about film for the best part of a decade. His particular obsessions include British and experimental cinema, non-fiction, and films that have fallen by the wayside. You'll find him reviewing such works in the DVD and Blu-ray sections, plus the occasional feature.
