The Dark Knight Rises in December

Warner Home Video have announced the UK DVD and Blu-ray release of The Dark Knight Rises on 3 December 2012. In the conclusion to filmmaker Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight trilogy, Gotham City is threatened by the masked terrorist Bane, forcing Batman to return from an eight-year absence and fight for his city one more time.

Available on Blu-ray and DVD, extras are outlined below...

Blu-ray

On Blu-ray the main feature will have a variable aspect ratio switching from 2.4:1 to 1.78:1 for the IMAX sequences. The DVD is 2.4:1 throughout.

The Dark Knight Rises comes to DVD and Blu-ray in the USA a day later on 4 December 2012. Extras are the same as the UK release. The artwork below the trailer is from the USA release...
