News
Artificial Eye have announced the UK Region 2 DVD release of Lou Reed’s Berlin on 27th October 2008 priced at £19.99. Directed by Julian Schnabel (The Diving Bell and the Butterfly), he describes the live project below…
“When Lou Reed originally recorded the album Berlin in 1973, it was a commercial failure. Over the next 33 years, he never performed the album live. For five nights in December 2006 at St. Ann's Warehouse Brooklyn, Lou Reed performed his masterwork about love's dark sisters: jealousy, rage and loss.” – Julian Schnabel
The film is presented in anamorphic widescreen with English DD2.0 and DD5.1 Surround audio. Extras include Lou Reed and Julian Schnabel biographies and the Theatrical Trailer.
