DVD Times Top 10 Films of 2006
Following on from our Top 10 DVDs of 2006 feature several reviewers also compiled Top 10 Films of 2006 lists. These have been submitted in two ways, ordered and in no particular order.
Looking over the lists which can be seen further down the page there are 5 films which have collected the most votes this year so we’ve also compiled a rough Top 5 Films of 2006 list based on the individual Top 10 lists submitted…
Brokeback Mountain
Ang Lee's oscar-winning drama placed high on four of our reviewer Top 10 lists.
Little Miss Sunshine
Also making its way onto four of our reviewers lists this year is this charming road comedy with an ensemble cast including Steve Carrell.
Pan’s Labyrinth
Guillermo del Toro's fairy tale for adults was a real visual treat for cinema goers late this year and made 3 of our reviewers lists..
The Host
Joon-ho Bong's blend of family-drama with comedy and horror proved very popular amongst the DVDTimes' staff with 3 placing it in their Top 10 list this year.
Brick
Rian Johnson’s impressive debut combined classic film noir sensibilities into a modern setting and made it onto 3 of our reviewers Top 10 lists this year.
