Second Run DVD

Grouping
Launching this Summer Second Run is a new UK-based DVD company specialising in the release of important and award-winning films from all around the world.

The films encompass many genres and languages and what Second Run believes distinguishes them is their quality and their ethos. They are niche-market films which they hope anyone who seriously cares about cinema would want in their collection - but which, crucially, have never before been available anywhere in the world on DVD; and now are, additionally, being presented with English subtitles.

DVDTimes already has plans to cover Second Run's launch titles so expect reviews to appear over the next couple of weeks. For now though, here is more from the press release including full details on their initial August 2005 line-up...

Each Second Run film is our personal selection reflecting significant films which we love and care about, and which we believe should be seen by others for their quality and importance.

Every Second Run release is re-mastered to the best possible sound and picture quality and, wherever possible, incorporates a range of original extras. Our films will always appear in their original aspect ratio and in their original language version with English subtitles only.
