Brokeback Mountain

The undisputed star of the 2006 awards season, Ang Lee's Brokeback Mountain has already scooped several Golden Globes and is tipped for Oscar glory in February. It's a love story between two men, played by Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal, who meet while working as farmhands in the 1960s. Review by Kevin O'Reilly.

Underworld: Evolution

Len Wiseman's follow-up to his 2003 hit Underworld continues the story of Selene (Kate Beckinsale), the PVC-clad vampire assassin who fell in love with a human (Scott Speedman) and fell out with her fellow bloodsuckers. The sequel sees her battling the world's first vampire, who needs her to resurrect his werewolf brother. Review by Kevin O'Reilly.

Match Point

Woody Allen's latest has the director working in England's green and pleasant land for the first time. The combination of familiar themes from his past works together with a fresh setting and vibrant young actors makes for an interesting film. Review by Roger Keen.
